Creating a customer upcharge
Introduction
Vaulted Credit Cards will enable you to upcharge your customers using their vaulted cards after placing an order.
Vaulting consists of storing your customers' credit cards outside of your payment provider with a special tool called a credit card vault
What is an upcharge?
An upcharge is an additional fee that you can add to your customers' orders. For example, free shipping.
For instance, if you are shipping an order internationally, and your customer did not select the correct shipping method, you might consider an upcharge.
Function enabled
Navigate to your Environment Variables section under your Settings --> Store

Scroll down and in the last entry type in: STRIPE_ALWAYS_OFF_SESSION
In the Value field type in 'enabled' and click the checkmark to save your change

Navigate to your Orders page and click New Order

Select a product and navigate to Customers tab
Select an existing customer in the Customer Search dropdown

Click Update and navigate to Payments tab
Notice the Balance Due and the Amount equaling $0.00

Click New Payment

The Vaulted credit cards will be available to select
