Stripe Agentic Commerce lets your customers shop and buy your products through AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and others. Your product catalog, inventory, and prices are synced to Stripe, and when a customer completes a purchase through an AI agent, the order flows directly into Chord for fulfillment.

## How It Works

**You sync your catalog** — Choose which products are available for AI agents and sync them to Stripe.

1. **Customers shop via AI** — A customer asks an AI assistant to find and buy a product. The AI browses your catalog on Stripe.
2. **Checkout happens on Stripe** — Stripe handles the payment. During checkout, Chord OMS provides real-time shipping options and verifies stock availability.
3. **Order lands in Chord OMS** — Once payment is confirmed, the order is automatically created in Chord OMS, ready for fulfillment.

## Getting Started

Navigate to **Store → Integrations → Stripe Agentic Commerce&#x20;**&#x6F;n Chord.

Before enabling, make sure you have:

- A Stripe account connected to your store;
- Products with SKUs set up in your catalog; and
- At least one shipping method configured.

Once prerequisites are met, click **Enable** to turn on the feature.

## Managing Your Catalog

### Choosing Products

From the **Products** tab, you can control which products are available to AI agents:

- **Enable/disable individual products** — Use the toggle next to each product
- **Bulk enable/disable** — Use the "Enable All" or "Disable All" buttons
- **Search** — Find products by name or SKU
- **Filter** — View All, Enabled, or Not Enabled products

Only enabled products will be visible to AI shopping agents.

### Syncing to Stripe

There are three types of syncs, each keeping different data up to date:

| Sync Type | What It Updates |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Catalog Sync** | Product details — name, description, images, brand, category, shipping info |
| **Inventory Sync** | Stock levels and availability |
| **Price Sync** | Prices and tax information |

You can trigger any sync manually from the **Products** tab, or set up automatic syncing.

### Auto-Sync

From the **Settings** tab, you can schedule each sync type to run automatically:

| Frequency        | Description                                |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Manual | Only syncs when you click the button |
| Every 30 minutes | Keeps data fresh for fast-moving inventory |
| Every 1 hour | Good balance of freshness and performance |
| Every 4 hours | Suitable for most stores |
| Every 12 hours | For stores with infrequent changes |
| Daily            | Once per day                               |

The dashboard shows when each sync last ran and when the next one is scheduled.

### Feed History

The **Feed History** tab shows a log of all syncs with their status:

- **Completed** — Sync finished successfully
- **Processing** — Sync is currently running
- **Failed** — Something went wrong (click to see error details)
- **Partial** — Some rows succeeded, some failed

You can download error details for any failed sync to troubleshoot issues.

## How Orders Are Processed

When a customer completes a purchase through an AI agent:

```mermaid
    B --> C[Chord OMS receives<br>the order]
    C --> D[Order is created with<br>line items & shipping]
    D --> E[Payment is recorded]
    E --> F[Order is ready<br>for fulfillment]
```

1. The AI agent guides the customer through product selection and checkout.
2. Stripe processes the payment securely.
3. Chord OMS automatically creates the order with all the details — products, quantities, shipping address, and payment.
4. The order appears in your admin panel, tagged and ready for fulfillment.

### Order Tagging

Agentic orders are automatically tagged so you can easily identify and report on them:

- **Channel** — Orders are assigned to a configurable channel (default: "Agentic") so you can filter them in reports
- **Static tag** — You can set a custom tag that's applied to every agentic order
- **Agent tag** — The name of the AI agent (e.g., "chatgpt", "claude") is automatically added as a tag

Configure these in the **Settings** tab.

### Stock Validation

Before an AI agent can complete a checkout, Chord OMS automatically verifies:

- The product exists in your catalog
- The requested quantity is available in stock
- The item is not out of stock

If any check fails, the checkout is declined and the customer is notified by the AI agent. Digital products and gift cards skip stock checks since they don't require physical inventory.

## Settings

All settings are accessible from the **Settings** tab on the Agentic Commerce page.

## FAQ

**Q: Which AI agents can sell my products?**&#x20;

Any AI agent that integrates with Stripe's Agentic Commerce platform, including ChatGPT, Claude, and others as they become available.

**Q: Do I need to do anything special with my products?**&#x20;

No. Any product with a SKU can be enabled for agentic commerce. Make sure your product descriptions and images are up to date, as AI agents use this information to help customers find the right products.

**Q: How quickly do inventory changes reflect?**&#x20;

It depends on your auto-sync frequency. If you set inventory sync to every 30 minutes, stock levels will be updated within 30 minutes of a change. You can also trigger a manual sync at any time for immediate updates.

**Q: Will agentic orders look different from regular orders?**&#x20;

They appear as regular orders in your admin panel, but are tagged with the channel name and agent name so you can easily identify and filter them.

**Q: What happens if a product goes out of stock during checkout?**&#x20;

The stock check happens in real-time during checkout. If a product is out of stock, the checkout is declined and the AI agent informs the customer.

**Q: Can I use this with multiple stores?**&#x20;

Yes. Each store can independently enable and configure agentic commerce with its own product selection, settings, and sync schedules.
