Chord's OMS (Order Management System) is the place where you will manage all of your orders, products for sale, promotional codes, and subscriptions for your store. The OMS integrates with a variety of third-party shipping and warehouse management systems and offers support for advanced order types (subscriptions, bundles, kits), promotions, Customer Account Management, and more.

Chord uses a headless CMS (Content Management System) as the "source of truth" for your Jamstack site. We provision your CMS with extendable content types for your goods that are only limited by your imagination. Chord automatically syncs information from your OMS to the CMS as you add and update products in your store.

The big advantage to this approach is that developers will mostly need to be aware of the CMS and its APIs when building and maintaining your site instead of gluing together sources like in other e-commerce platforms.

We provide Next.js and Gatsby starter projects so you can jump-start your site with best-in-class defaults. These starters include our SDK allowing automatic eventing for each customer journey step.

Each front-end component in Chord comes with data instrumented out of the box, with behavior-tracking event names and corresponding payload sent through to a purposefully-designed tracking plan and data pipeline, so that you get reliable, complete data from day one.

Properly deploying and hosting a website can be among the most problematic and burdensome tasks a developer will encounter. With Chord, we handle all of that for you. On day one, pushing code to main on Github or updating content in your CMS/OMS will trigger deploys such that your content is live in minutes. Chord also assumes the long-term maintenance of this hosting and build pipeline, so you can be assured of its stability for years to come!
